Our Pastor

Pastor Jon Slaughter currently serves as Pastor of the Christ Temple Church in Lansing, Michigan. His ministry experience includes serving as Youth Pastor of New Hope Tabernacle Church in Detroit, Michigan and State Youth Chairman of the Michigan Diocese in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. These assignments have afforded him invaluable experience beyond his years.

 

Pastor Slaughter’s gifting was evident early on when he graduated as a class valedictorian and completed high school at only 16 years of age. Later, his commitment to education was evident through earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. To enhance his calling, he completed ministerial education to become both, a licensed and ordained elder in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. However, despite his many achievements, Pastor Slaughter realizes that he is what he is by the grace of God. Whenever asked “how are you doing”, he is well-known for saying, “I’m better than I deserve.”

 

Pastor Slaughter is joined in leadership with his wonderful wife, Jennifer "Lady Jen" Slaughter, and his two sons, Blake and Britain.

In all, Pastor Slaughter is an anointed and gifted servant of Christ. He believes that by sharing his gifts with the world, he can become a gift to the world.
